UWE Dance Soc offers classes for students in a variety of styles including Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Ballet and Dance fitness. We also have a squad that competes and performs at a variety of events. This year our team earnt first place at a Street Dance International competition that was held in conjunction with LJMU and last year came 2nd place in the Contemporary category at Loughborough.

All society members also have the opportunity for performance in the annual dance show if you so wish to.

With the society entering its 4th year of running, we continue to develop and aim to improve.
In its first year the society won Best New Society at the UWESU Activities awards, following that up a year later with the Society of The Year award. At the 08/09 awards, the society won the Achievement award and came runner up for the best event award for the “JUST DANCE” dance show held at Filton Theatre.
